When I was your age, I often wondered what being 33 was like. Well, I’ve been here for several months, and let me just tell you, it’s amazing! Mindblowing sex, uncountable wealth, newly acquired super powers…it’s unbelievable, man!
I mean, unless it was just me that got all that stuff…
I like this attitude (says the almost-41-year-old). Getting old isn’t a punishment for doing something bad. It’s a reward for not dying.
Of course, I’m barely a few weeks out of the phase where I was crying every day because I am old and hideous, so reading about you “old” 20-somethings makes me want to bop someone.
When my GF and a friend’s wife turned 30, we all went to Las Vegas. My friend’s wife was like “did you ever think you would be married to a 30 year old?” “Sure…when I turn 60” he replied.
I’m 63, and most people think I’m in my late 40s. All my gray hair is in my goatee; the hair on top is still dark brown (I’ve been accused of dying it). My partner is exactly 20 years younger, and has more gray hair than I do.
I recently ran into an old friend of mine from high school, who is actually a year younger than I am. I couldn’t help thinking, “Damn, she looks like an old woman!”
