Definitely! Like a lot of men in this thread, when my boyfriend decided his bald spot was too big, he shaved his head and has kept it like that for several years. It’s a non-issue. He’s 57, bald and HOT!
I would assume you’re a hockey player.
I think some people do - I see the odd one that looks awfully fake.
Put me down as another woman who doesn’t care that much about baldness on guys. I too find a neatly-trimmed head much more attractive than a combover or the “Friar Tuck.”
To the OP: own your baldness. Shave that noggin. Shaved head dudes are hot hot hot. I find guys with shaved heads attractive not in spite of the shiny dome but because of it. Confidence, my man. Confidence so so sexy.
I don’t like this thing! And here’s what I’m doing with it! ::throws it out the window
X10!
Shaved heads are the sexiest thing ever. Especially with the moustache and goatee. That look radiates confidence.
Or meth cooker.
Bet that makes you feel a lot better, doesn’t it, Neo-Calredic?
Another vote for shave. I actually go back and forth between buzzed-and-beard and shaved-and-goatee. Currently I’m shaved and goatee. I’m 40 and slim and I wear wire rimmed glasses, so I get a lot of comments about looking like Walter White. I’m OK with that.
I have a number of character flaws way worse than being bald, and my beautiful, brilliant, and successful wife has put up with me for 14 years, so I guess I’m safe.
My brother-in-law, who is 32, has a seriously receding hairline but if he shaved his head he’d look fucked up. Like the girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead, when it’s good it’s very very good, and when it’s bad it’s horrid.
You know thinking about it … I had the look first. He rocks my look, not the other way around.
Yeah, those methheads are just a bunch of copycats!
My dad always wore a hairpiece. It was a lot of work and he had to have it replaced or redone every couple of years.
My hair started thinning out in my late 20’s and by the time I hit my early 30’s, I was just as bald as I am today. I was attending my parent’s church and one of their friends asked me if I was going to get a hairpiece like my dad. I said no, I had no issue with being bald, it didn’t bother me in the slightest.
My father soon stopped wearing the hairpiece.
I dunno, the hair on the top of my head was never a major part of my self-esteem. God knows I have enough other issues to deal with and vanity isn’t one of them.
Yeah, just shave your head like the rest of us bald motherfuckers.
Then you can dress as a Buddhist monk for Halloween.
38 is young enough. I am 44 and have a pretty luscious head of hair with only a speckling of grey. What’s your age and hair like, for curiosity’s sake?
Believe it or not, I think you’ve all convinced me: After Xmas, I’m shaving my head.
I just told my wife and she grinned and said I will look “smoking hot.” Here’s hoping she’s singing the same tune after I go through with it.
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. I kinda knew this was going to have to happen eventually, and this has helped get me there. I really do appreciate it.
To the OP.
I had long wild hair from my teens till age 32 (1999) at which time the very slight thinning I had on top bothered the hell out of me.
So I shaved my head and kept my long goatee .(I’ve worn a goatee or full beard since 1988)
Women ask to touch it  (my scalp:D) men tell me they wish they could shave their heads too. (??? like it’s hard to do:smack::D)
It’s easy to care for and always looks neat and tidy.
Having said all this, my wife of 7 years has never seen me with hair (or w/o a goatee). So 2 years ago she asked me to grow some hair and show her what I used to look like.
So I shaved my face for a clean start (scared the hell outa her I’m ugly under here) and I haven’t shaved or cut my hair for 2 years. I’m sporttin a full chest beard and hair well past my shoulders.
No one likes it. 2 years ago most people thought I was 30-32 years old (I was 43) now at 45 with long hair (thin on top) most new acquaintances think I’m 40-44.
Needless to say when the novelty of looking like a mountain man wears off I’m going back to shaved head/goatee. (Nice way to drop 8-10 years.
To sum up. Easy, save time, save money, look better (ymmv)
Also…Mach 3 razors are THE BEST!!! it’s a marginally better shave than other alternatives, but WAY WAY less irritation.
Hang on… Your wife grinned and said you’d look “smokin hot”, and you’re going to wait to do it. If my wife suggested that something I was pondering would make me more attractive to her, I’d drop whatever it was I was doing and go do that thing.
Seriously, I’m happy you’re more comfortable with the idea. Enjoy your new look!
As a balding (male pattern baldness) man since his early 20’s, I have to say that it never seemed to bother any woman I was with in those days.
It did’nt bother my wife of 30 years, who is a former model, and way more attractive than I am.
Our youngest son (23) has MPB, hasn’t stopped him attracting girls.
Most women really don’t seem to care if their man is bald or not. But they seem to hate wigs and comb overs.
If your going bald, just own it.
This.
