I'm thinking of registering a trademark

I came up with this brilliant name for a laundry product yesterday. I told a few family members about it and they couldn’t stop laughing.

Is there much point in registering a trademark and trying to sell it to a company? Stories? Suggestions?

Here’s all you need to know about trademarks, from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. There’s a link there where you can register your trademark online. Cost is $325 per class of goods and services (Yours would be Class 3-Cosmetics and cleaning preparations).

What is this wonderful laundry detergent name you want to register, by the way? Just out of curiosity-I might buy a box if you ever put it on the market.

You should be able to do a free search there too cause you want to make sure no one else has it registered…
