Yay! I’ve been screwing around most of the night and NOT doing my home work (preparing for an easy quiz, an autobigraphy, and several readings), and I think i’ve caught some kind of cold (sneezing, stuffy nose, nasty looking snot yesterday). I dont know where or when I caught the cold, but i might have spread it to everyone that was at Sue’s B-day party. So, here I am, procrastinating my ass off, not doing what I should, and I should get to bed in about 45 minutes. However, I am not tired! I dont feel tired at all, but I know i might not last until 2pm if I stay up. Oh well, back to work.
I know that when you are under a lot of stress your immune system falls apart. When I was in college, I got strep throat 4 times. Each time was during finals. I have never had it before or since. How weird is that?
Ok now my 2 cents worth. Take about a gram (1000 mg) of Vitamin C 2xday, and a good stress-type vitamin for the next week. Increase your water intake. Try to get as much sleep as you can. You sound like you’re getting run down. If you don’t take care of yourself now, it will only get worse.
I know this sounds preachy, but I am the worst possible combination of mother and nurse. I feel everybody is entitled to my opinion. Trust me.
(love that name)
I hope you get all your stuff done and don’t get too sick (matt_mcl was given lots of good advice for fighting colds at this thread).
When I was in school, I was the world’s best procrastinator, but somehow always managed to get my work done on time.
Now I am taking a class that has no outside homework, so I just procrastinate by leaving the house at the last possible moment to go there.
Good luck! I hope you feel better soon!

The thing with me and colds is, they hardly progress past the point I’m at right now. I’ve very very very rarely within any time I remember them actually putting me out for a day. Which always sucked cause I was never sick enough to miss school. I’ve been sick and stressed even worse before and my colds haven’t gotten bad at all (mostly annoying…like not being able to breathe). Anyway, I do have the readings done (they were actually interesting for once), and my professor assures us the test should be simple (stuff I already know how to do anyway…or can fake :)). So, I just have these essays, one to correct, the other to type up.
Hi Doob! Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well. I do hope you feel better soon. Want some shave ice?
GRAND! You probably, somehow, gave it to everyone in chat… damn glad I’ve been gone for the last week!
Mmmm! Do you have azuki beans to put on that? Or stuff for Halo-Halo?
Oh and the cold is easing up. I can breathe, but now it’s running a bit.
