I'm watching Fleetwood Mac's "The Dance" on PBS

I was actually an FM early adopter, having (in the mid seventies) some acquaintance with Peter Green era FM and a later incarnation, circa “Mystery To Me”. Then “Rumors” came out and was huge. At the time I had a bitchin’ 66 GTO with an under dash aftermarket Sony Supertuner cassette player and an equalizer/ power booster. The back seat was taken up with two home stereo speaker cabinets. I was dating a nice girl and remember many nights just driving around listening to that album. Maybe smoking a little weed. A very nice time in my life.
Now because it is pledge week, PBS is showing a bunch of geezer oriented stuff. Tonight watching “The Dance” (between pleas for money) I’m struck with two main thoughts:

As much as I respect Peter Green (RIP), Lindsay Buckingham is the better guitarist. (IMHO, of course)

Can’t understand why I ever had a celebri-crush on Stevie when Christine was right there !

I have certainly listened to FM in the years since Rumors came out and own some of their later stuff, have some of it on my digital playlist. I saw “The Dance” when it first came out and haven’t seen it for quite a while.
All in all, solid stuff, holds up.
