It’s 5:40 EST on Sunday, for the last hour and a half I’ve been watching the Pope. The ceremony from the Vatican City is just beautiful, and it is heartbreaking to see him sitting there, struggling to participate.
Now and then, he opens his eyes fully and glances around as he reads or prays. His gaze is absolutely fierce.
-sigh- What a lovely ceremony to see. I hope that he is able to survive his Papacy without the Parkinson’s Disease causing neurological problems that will impede is ability to lead with mental clarity.
