IMDB "Goofs" - who ARE these people?

I’ve put up a few hundred additions to IMDb. Some goofs (continuity, plot holes, character errors, production errors), some quotes (usually the funny ones), trivia, and plot summaries (about half the “Kim Possible” episodes’ plot summaries are from me).

In recent submissions, I’m about 9 for 10; i.e., they include my addition, usually in about a week or so. Some things I guess they think are too trivial or nit-picky. But at first, it was rare that one of my additions was added. I’m probably just getting the knack of it.

I’ll keep TV episodes on the DVR for weeks until I remember to go back and get the quote or series of quotes that I thought were particularly funny.

Case in point:

Particularly funny to me, 'cause like Dr. Turk, I developed Type I diabetes in adulthood. But it took me a week to remember why I’d kept the episode; actually, I rewatched it and caught the dialog again.

Somewhat of a tangent: there are two levels of IMDB users. For a short while, if you sent a text message in to a certain number and paid a dime, you could get upgraded status (1 minute between posts instead of 2 minutes.) These are the “favored users” who get more perks, and their votes and stuff get more credit on the site.

If your submissions don’t appear quickly, you might have the lower level account.

Record nerdism strikes again: I just watched A Serious Man this weekend. The movie is supposed to take place in 1967, but both of the records mentioned by the guy from the Columbia Record Club were 1970 releases. (Both titles were probably chosen for symbolic value: Abraxas and Cosmo’s Factory.)
