IMDB Superlatives Challenge

Although it’s not a true answer to #3, I have to point out a fictional character who is credited in the IMDb as an actual person as an actor, director, writer, producer, and in special thanks, all for the same project: The Hypnotoad. All glory to the Hypnotoad!

For that matter, Donald Kaufman (an imaginary character) was nominated for many screenwriting awards for Adaptation and won some of them:

Klinton Spillsbury has exactly one IMDB listing. While no one would call him a “name,” the one credit is for The Legend of the Lone Ranger in which he played the LR himself.

TLOTLR was no cheap, made for TV filler, either. It was a big-budget theatrical release and featured Christopher Lloyd and Jason Robards in the cast. It was, as you might guess, both a financial and critical failure. Spillsbury never worked again in show business in any capacity.

When the movie came out, a critic (I don’t remember who) predicted “Who played the Lone Ranger in The Legend of the Lone Ranger” a trivia question that no one would have the answer to. In the trivia section, it mentions Spilsbury’s voice was dubbed by James Keach so we see only half of his talent.

My cousin Cinder Block* is the closest I have to answer for that one; I’ve eaten dinner at her house a couple of times, including her 40th birthday party which had a cake for her birthday, a cake for Mother’s Day, and a cake for my mom’s birthday, as all three events fell in the same week. Her credit is for her lead role in her defunct band Tilt’s video for their song Animated Corpse; it’s about a girl who has a zombie kill people for her. Good times. I haven’t seen her in almost exactly 7 years, and she’s been out-of-touch with my side of the family lately, but she’s the only relative I know to have a listing.

If TV specials on living with cancer as a kid were listed, then I’d link to some of my high school friends, but apparently KOMO 4 isn’t cool enough for IMDB, so I can’t link to them.

*Same Cinder Block as on band t-shirts that say “Licensed to Cinder Block,” although she’s no longer involved with the company; her ex-husband runs it. He was the guitarist of Tilt; I think he played the zombie in the video, but I’m not sure.
