Imma Hotsleeper - have you ever used the Bedfan? How about tower fans?

Since I sleep on a foam mattress that doesn’t move, no matter how I toss and turn, I can keep a small, wide-based fan on my bed, at the end, to blow on my feet all night. Somehow, keeping my feet cool helps make me feel cooler overall. I also have a room fan generally circulating air.

Select Comfort sells an electrically operated heating and cooling mattress pad. It has adjustable temperature settings. It may use Peltier junctions but I’m not sure about that. It might be what you’re looking for.

I’m a hot sleeper too. Mostly my feet get hot and I can’t fall asleep when that happens. We sleep with a ceiling fan on low or med, even in winter. Make sure your linens are a very low thread count. It’s marketed to be luxurious to use high thread count sheets but I found out the hard way they prevent air from getting through. In the summer I just sleep with a light sheet draped across my naughty bits. Might as well not bother but it’s a security thing I guess. I don’t want the boogie man to cop a feel while I’m sleeping!

I have central air but use a bedroom unit to save money and keep it at the temperature I like. Done. When my parents got A/C when I was a kid I had a gone-with-the-wind moment. I hate being hot and vowed that no matter what I will have A/C in my house and cars. I would rather drive a complete POS car with A/C rather than a brand new one without it.
