Immersion blender. I'll use it for what all again?

I have two of these things. A Bamix purchased at a home show twenty years ago, and the Cuisinart that several have linked to. It came with the whisk and chopper bowl too. The unit works well, but is difficult to clean. The blade does not come off and I’m always concerned about getting it clean. With my Bamix the blade snaps off and makes it easy to clean around the working end.

That is…lovely. Brings tears to my eyes. Now I have words for all of these things. Thank you!

What, KitchenAid doesn’t make one in white?

I actually meant to link to my lovely Oster Beehive

When time comes for me to buy a bar blender, I want the one Alton has that he describes as having three settings: off, on, and really on. I can’t tell for sure, but that may be the same one.

I pretty much use my blender only for bar drinks these days.

The Oster Beehive has a toggle switch with 3 positions. On, off and pulse which means “on but you have to hold the toggle in place.”

The thing crushes ice like nobody’s business.

Well, I asked my SO the other night, and he says he already has one. What Motorgirl links to as an immersion blender, anyway. So another vote for getting one I guess.

Well, I finally pulled the trigger today. Got me this one, though I got it at Target.

Now I’m looking at those accessories and thinking the whisk might be just the thing to make those whipped-cream dreams of mine come true.

Congrats. May you have many lovely smooth soups, sauces, and whatnots.
