Bob’s Diner would only be cheating because, well, these are the actual vocalizations that start the song.

Isn’t it ***Tom’*s Diner?

Hmm. I don’t know. By the lyrics, I’d say it’s Dit’s Diner.
It is Tom’s Diner.

This website may help some of you hear the tunes in your heads, aiding in identification:

Holy crap-- what a cool site. Just tried three songs off the top of my head, it nailed each one.
I tried tapper and got mixed results. Can anyone remember a site that identified songs by whether or not the notes went up or down or stayed the same pitch?
I can remember using the site, but can’t for the life of me find it!
ETA: By the way, I’m weeping with laughter at the meow meow meow method of tune representation…

Ya. Even with some misdirection you still got it. :o
There’s one that used to be pretty ubiquitous in the 70’s and 80’s- not sure if its an actual song/instrumental or just a commonly used snippet for soundtracks, and if anyone can figure out what the hell I’m talking about I’ll be both thankful and impressed- my best approximation is:
DUUUUUUH nuh
DUUUUUUH nuh nuh
Duh nuh nuh duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh
I’m thinking it was used during action sequences of 70’s TV shows?

Nope. I was trying for “Mission: Impossible”.
Correct on William Tell/Lone Ranger, Pink Panther and Beethoven’s 5th.
Another easy TV theme:
Dom duh Dom Dom
Dom duh Dom Dom daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Beethoven’s Fifth, of course.
How about: Duh-dah duh-dah dut-dut dut-dut dah

Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.
Here’s a famous opening groove for all aspiring guitarists:
Di-duh, di-duh DUH, di-di-DUH, di-di-DUH, di-di-DUH, di-di-DUH, di-di-DUH, di-di-DUH.
In Meow notation, it would probably go like:
Mi-meow, mi-meow ROWR, mi-mi-ROWR, mi-mi-ROWR, etc.
Mine’s still up in the air:
Da, da, DAAAAAAAA!
Da, da, DAAA DAAAAAA!
Da, da, DAAAAA
DAAAAA da-da
hint: it’s rock.
