Also why so many wrong ‘No Knock’ raids?
From just the videos that get out, the bad judgement or outright brutality of LEO’s seems to be getting worse to me also.
Just more being caught?
More people & more police = more likely to happen?
The mind set of us against them which seems to be growing even faster than the militarization of the police in general?
Is the self policing of the officers by the officers so buried behind the blue wall that even if a LEO wanted to report something , it would be so bad for them to do so that they usually do not, regardless of allowing these things to continue?
How many, % of the ones we see are first time occurrences which is why they were not identified and corrected before? I have a hard time thinking that none of his fellow officers knew he did this kind of thing.
I know some really great guys that are LEO’s but I will not ask them if the attitude & actions of some of their fellow officers do anything like stealing, excessive force, lying on the stand, knowingly allow innocents to be incorrectly be accused, etc…? I do not want them to have to lie to me.
How can under staffed, under funded, etc. be the cause for individuals to behave this way?
Yes, bad apples in every group but the police are the worst offenders of knowing about it & allowing, even encouraging it, but they want to be considered good guys and get their perks of just being an LEO and then complain about the desire of the people to hold them to a higher standard?
I can stand on the street and video anyone except police? How many places have that as a law or ordinance?
I see the videos of the good police but I always wonder if they would be OK with a videotaping of them when a fellow officer is irrefutably using brutality. Why don’t they want their actions in the public known?
The video of the officer arriving after the suspect is down & cuffed and kicking him? If there was not that video, would any of the other officers done anything about? Well seems they did not know and so they did not do the correct thing about that officer. The first on scene officers might be totally correct in their daily personal contact but will cover for an officer like that…
Just because this behavior is rampant in other countries does not make it OK in this one yet. But the cops in combat gear seem to think so from my less that comprehensive view point of the ones I see in action myself locally.
