Shrewd move calling it “groceries” but pretty obvious they’re trying to just offload food about to expire.
So is Panera Bread (aka St Louis Bread Co)
Any restaurant here in Tucson that gets the required permit can do this. I think it’s smart.
Pretty much any restaurant around here that remains open for takeout is doing the same thing.
Yep. Every online order I’ve made has had options for household goods such as toilet paper and groceries like lemons. I assume that they’re selling what they normally receive for business use.
One restaurant near me began offering a free roll of toilet paper with every $35 order. One wonders what side effects they believe the meal will cause.
I certainly was taken aback when I walked into a pizza joint I like the other day and saw a little table set up with toilet paper and various other items for sale. At a buck a roll, I was more than happy to partake.
I’ve not been involved but I hear from my volunteer friends that the Concession stand had stuff to sell. Paper goods and non-perishable foods. Not sure what a family would want with gallon cans of crappy nacho cheese. :dubious:
Oh…wait…yeah I do.
Excuse me, I gotta call my friend. I needs me some nacho cheese!!
