No… those are probably against the fire code.
Sparklers? Those are totally ok for meetings!
You do realize that frequently bottled beverages have lots of sugars in them? Go with the flowers.
So, nerf dart guns are probably out too, then.
If you aren’t completely against bringing low cal treats you could try these: German Chocolate fudge bites. Be sure to check the dates you buy to be sure they don’t have added sugar. If you use a number 60 food scoop* they are about 30 calories each. I adore these little suckers. Very satisfying. I enjoy eating them and I usually only want about two or so. It’s not something I keep wanting to eat.
*about two tablespoons or so.
Meringues. They are very low cal, but all the calories are sugar.
I would opt for fruit. I usually stay away from meeting goodies because I am gluten-intolerant.
I’d like a homemade sock monkey.
Or a troll doll, with a choice of hair color.
Or a very small model of a three-masted schooner, with all hands on deck, painted to match Nelson’s fleet at Trafalgar.
Or a 1959 “Put a Tiger In Your Tank!” bobblehead.
Or an oil portrait of my dog, dressed like Krypto, Superboy’s Dog.
Or a sliver of the true cross.
Or a copy of “Peasant’s Quest” for the Wii. And a Wii.
Flowers. I bought some (really quite nice) bud vases at the dollar store and grabbed some cheap carnations at the supermarket. Went over rather well. Those petally buggers last a long bloody time.
I was thinking about this last night!
Next time: Baseball cards! Where else can you get multiple pictures of hot guys for small change? And they can trade them and say “My guy has a [del]bigger bat[/del] higher batting average than yours!” and even those who don’t follow baseball can enjoy looking at the stats.
That might go over at your job, but my co-workers don’t have that kind of imagination.
Sparklers are very hot and their sparks will burn through tablecloths, as friends of mine learned to their chagrin at a party they threw for their son, a recent West Point graduate.
Sushi?
