In my humble opinion CNN is full of crap.

Charles and Diana = Fred and Ginger
Charles and Camilla = Fred and Ethel

I also heard her referred to as Frump Tower.

Man, it’s gotta be tough to be her. Good thing she’s from the land of the stiff upper lip.

If they were going to wear matching sea green coats she should have gone to his tailor. And I can’t believe his valet let him wear that tie with a sea green plaid kilt.

Typically I’d agree that the doings of Prince Charles and the rest of the royal entourage are of no interest. With one exception.
Charles is a major promoter of health quackery, including the use of coffee enemas for cancer. He’s been taken to task by leading oncologists in his own country, but has not backed away from his support for useless and potentially dangerous treatments.

Let’s see a little coverage of that, instead of what other people’s underwear he wants to live in.

I think you grossly misunderstand just what Black Friday is. Retailers try to keep secret just what items they’re heavily discounting on the day after Thanksgiving. Someone leaked what WalMart’s Black Friday merchandise will be. WalMart did not post it on the internet. Can you go to walmart.com and see a list of their discounts for that Friday?

I had the American TV channel on in the background yesterday. One commentator said C had been very loyal and supportive of Prince Chuck. True I suppose. Shame she was not so loyal and supportive to her husband.

Because unlike Brad and Angelina they are ACTUAL royalty, and what they do could have a pretty big impact on the world?

I dunno, silly shit like that.

I always thought Di was pretty unattractive, both Fergie and Camilla are more attractive than Di in my opinion. Di was pretty boring all in all.

Erek

Yes, I’m sure she cries herself to sleep every night.

snerk

Weren’t JFK and Jackie often referenced to Camelot? There seems to be an idea that they were the closest to American Royalty we’ve had. Then Charles married Di and another love affair began. (This is based on very anecdotal experience, not stone cold fact). American women especially, it seems, almost lived vicariously through her. Beautiful, plucked from relative obscurity to marry the future King of England, suffered an ugly divorce involving adultery, died at a young age rebuilding her life. This is Lifetime movie of the week shit happening. I can’t beleive People isn’t still running her story in every issue to this day.

It’s not that Camilla is exactly ugly. She’s no Mrs. duffer, but she’s not hideous. I think the reason behind the dislike is that those that pay attention to this insignificant shit are still so wrapped up in their love of Diana that they will hate anyone they perceive is trying to take Di’s place. It’s a losing situation for whomever he married.

Also, these same people need to realize that since he has given up his claim to the throne (I think, correct if wrong) he’s about as relevant as Prince Albert. Or Prince Valiant. Or Prince. (Well, Prince still makes some decent music when he feels like working)

I dunno, the Bush family is pretty close to royalty.

I’m taking about the pop culture aspect of it. Forget politics.

If it were Prince Harry or even William, I’d care. And they are too young for me, but a gal can always dream…

Harry…harry…you naughty little bad boy…

Coffee enema’s… I just wanna know one thing?
Regular or decaf?

No, he hasn’t. Charles will still become King, and Camilla will be his queen, but its unlikely that she’ll be called Queen Camilla. She’ll probably be given the title of Princess Consort or similar. link

Really, what important political activity did Charles and Diana participate in?

They used their celebrity to promote certain positions concerning landmines (Diana), and the environment (Charles).

Did the Queen change her mind or something? I thought after the divorce he abdicated to marry Camilla. (See how much I know about it?)

What effect could Prince Charles possibly have on the life of an American?

That’s Camilla? She looks like one of those Brit comedians-in-drag I used to see on TV as a kid. Too thin to be Benny Hill, though…

Nope, he didn’t. In fact, the royal family webpages still has him as next in line to the throne. ISTR some legal/parliamentary wangling about it all, but the bottom line is that he got to marry Camilla, and still be King when his mother shuffles off this mortal coil.
