In My Humble Opinion, I am absolutely convinced that there will NEVER be a better (X) than (X)

there will never be a a better and more perfet human being than me

There will never be a better pitcher than Doc Gooden in 1985.

There will never be a better Doctor Who than Jon Pertwee in the 1970s.

There will never be a better looking airliner than the Lockheed Constellation.

There will never be a better comet than Halley’s.

There will never be a better singer/songwriter than Neko Case.

With emphasis on ‘will never be’, yes.

OTOH, there has never been a better comedy movie than Monty Python and the Holy Grail. While I’m open to the possibility of its being superseded, it’s been >44 years now and nobody’s managed it.

But since it was 42 years after Duck Soup before MP&HG was released, it’s too early to consider the question settled.

There will never be a better sports upset than Buster Douglas KOing Mike Tyson in 1990.

There will never be a vodka better than Popov.

There will never be a better pan flutist than Zamfir-------Master of The Pan Flute.

There will never be a better video game than Super Mario Bros. 3.

There will never be a better shelf-size communications receiver than the Sony ICF-2010.

There will never be a better musical performance than this.

You misspelled “Ani DiFranco”.

That is indeed a ringing endorsement of your culinary prowess!

…but, have you ever heard of a guy named Jesus (aka Jesus of Nazareth, aka Jesus Christ)?

Well, he may have died for y’all’s sins, but he resurrected for my biscuits & gravy.

There will never be a better time than now.

Unless someone posted that earlier in which case there was.

I’m sure that you are aware that according to the Pope & the Dalai Lama, the Bigger something is, the Better that thing is. Here

Except for the troupe of the 90-minute live variety show, Your Show of Shows (1950-54) featuring Sid Caesar, Imogene Coca, Howie Morris, and Carl Reiner.

Wikipedia excerpt: “Writers for the series included Mel Brooks, Neil Simon, Danny Simon, Mel Tolkin, Lucille Kallen, Selma Diamond, Joseph Stein, Michael Stewart, Tony Webster (the only Gentile among the show’s writers), and Carl Reiner who, though a cast member, also worked with the writers. (Larry Gelbart and Woody Allen joined the writing staff for later Caesar ventures.) The series is historically significant for the evolution of the variety genre by incorporating situation comedies (sitcoms) such as the running sketch ‘The Hickenloopers’; this added a narrative element to the traditional multi-act structure.”

“There will never be a better glass sculpture than my…”
