In-n-Out Burger Needs to Come to Chicago

When I was recently in California, I had the chance to finally enjoy an In-n-Out burger. It was damn good; I also really liked the fries. It really was the best fast food place to which I had ever been.

I was a bit disappointed to find that they are only located in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Further, since they are family-owned and don’t franchise, they aren’t likely to build one in Chicago any time soon. So, if for some reason the Snyder family happens to read these forums, please open an In-n-Out Burger in Chicago.

Excuse me?

Stand in line behind Texas!

The expand so slowly because they will only build a new store when they have a manager ready who has been with them for many years. Almost all of the store managers (who make about a 100K a year) have been with the chain since they were teenagers.

I think I went into an In-N-Out once.

If only they could get an In and Out next to a Hot n Now .

Hot n Now is my most favorite burger chain. Best burgers evar!

w00t!

In-N-Out burgers are good, although I don’t care for their fries.

IMO the better burger is Fatburger. I like their burgers better, and their fries are superior.

(One of those California things among people with too much time on their hands is to debate which is better; In-N-Out, or Fatburger. Someone inevitably brings up Tommy’s.)

In ‘n’ Out?
Hot ‘n’ Now?

Sounds like really sexually active food to me!

Southern Nevada may have In and Out, but Northern Nevada doesn’t have one at this time. By the end of the year we’ll have two, though. One will be about 1.5 miles from my house. Yay!

Catch-22

They’re good because they stick to their roots, don’t grow very rapidly and are fairly regional. If they start popping up in places like Chicago, then they might suffer the pains of other large franchises.

I knew you Chicaghoans(?) had to be jonesing for something more than greasey pizza and hot dogs. Poor bastards. No wonder you want* In ‘N’ Out.*

Incidentally, a Fatburger is said to be opening soon in Chicago.

In-n-Out Burger? Sure, that would be nice here in Hooterville. But what I really want is Trader Joe’s. Now we’re talkin’.

I just can’t get past the name. It conjures images of explosive diarrhea and/or vomiting.

Trader Joe’s? Feh. They opened one in my hometown. Hippie stuff.

Me: “So, I went to Trader Joe’s. It’s all dirt and sticks and twigs.”

My Hippie Sister: “It’s got wholesome food for people who are concerned about their health and don’t want to eat crap!”

Me: “But I’m not concerned about my health, and I love crap.”

Hmmmm. Either that Trader Joes is significantly different than the ones I’m used to, or you turned around before you got to the freezer section. With the cheesecakes, and the ice cream, and the profiteroles, and the cookies and the imported candy, and the fancy frozen pizzas and and and…

Eve, I think you might have [confused with [url=“http://www.wholefoods.com/”]Whole Foods](http://www.traderjoes.com/about/index.asp"Trader Joe’s[/url).

Eve, I think you might have Trader Joe’s confused with Whole Foods.

Stupid fargin’ url tags

I’ve been to In n Out and to Fatburger, both in Vegas, they were both awsome. We dont have either here in Montreal, its a real shame!

All kidding aside, I’d love to have an In ‘n’ Out in DC. But I know it’s not going to happen, so it provides me with another incentive to travel out West once a year.

I have an In 'N Out Burger 2 miles from my house…place is always jam full and you can’t beat the price…last time I ordered for two people: 2 cheeseburgers, 1 order of fries, Coke and Chocolate shake = $8.17.

And they were great! The place is always spotless and they make their french fries from scratch, right there on the premises. They are the only fries I ever eat.

Now as to the debate between Fatburger vs In 'N Out, that has been going on a long time:

For fast food lovers who may have shied away from a book telling them their food was all awful, In-n-Out is the only fast food place that comes out looking good in Eric Schlosser’s Fast Food Nation. So you can enjoy it guilt free! I’ve banned my parents from going to any other fast food restaurant. (I’m a vegetarian, myself.)

BTW, someone from Chicago is a Chicagoan.

DOH! Damn. Bad time for a typo. * Chicagoans…Chicagoans…*
