I’d like to campaign for the introduction of a font that includes an “n” with umlauts, for Spinal Tap fans everywhere.

I can do that, but not with the fonts available here for posting.
For Mac OSX users:

• go Finder -> Edit -> Special Characters

• in the Character Palette, select view: unicode

• under unicode blocks, select “combining diacritical marks,” then select the umlaut to see the font collections that will let you combine an umlaut with any letter
