In search of a directional speaker

I am trying to find a directional speaker for a museum exhibit to play a short but annoying (especially upon repeated listening) piece of music. The speaker would be ceiling mounted directly above the listener.

This is just what I am looking for, but seems rather expensive, judging from a used speaker currently going for $900 on ebay. Our budget is probably in the $200-300 range: what might we do for that amount of money?

This is still out of your price range, though there have to be other parabolic speakers out there. For that matter, you might get lucky by putting a speaker at the far end of a long tube.

The floor will also have to be carpeted under the speaker to keep reflected sound. from filling the room.

Soundtube is another company that makes these. The cheapest is the FP6020 which googling will turn up in the 400 buck range.
