In what topics is it easiest for you to shift perspective?

For a couple of examples of what I mean, tides first. Gravity, orbits around center of mass, centrifugal force yay physics we have tides.

Now shift perspective, woah, that tiny thing floating in the sky has enough power to pull the earth’s water that far up?

Another, perhaps grander scale example would be the size of space. Cosmic distance ladders, quasars, supernovae, speed of light, yay cosmology.

Shift perspective and it becomes wow! Space is big, really really big! Mind bogglingly and incomprehensibly huge big and I’m not even talking about the whole universe yet.

But it could be anything, it doesn’t have to be cosmological or even physics per se, maybe it’s some aspect of humanity or something.

Whats your dual perspective topic of choice?

I’d say that in politics and religion, it’s generally quite easy for me to imagine what it’s like to be on the other side. Disagreeing, but totally understanding why the other side feels that way, and how I’d be just like them if I’d been born into their shoes.
