I’m looking here for examples, from your respective countries of actual examples of misandry or discrimination against men.
Valid examples that would justify a mens’ rights movement.
Like family law discrimination and the like.

This is hardly a legal discrimination, but annoyed me (female, if you’re wondering) anyway: as a student, the university had a cheap ‘Women’s Night Bus’ from the student centre back to the halls of residence; a few miles uphill walk. It was almost never even nearly full, but you’d regularly see a couple of female students walk up with one male, and all the girls cheerfully get on the bus, leaving the solo guy to walk home though a pretty skeevy area on his own.
This was despite the university stats showing that male students in the city were more likely to be mugged than their female counterparts; I often wondered if it was a contibuting factor to the statistic.
I believe they only got the funding to run the bus (it clearly never broke even) if it was run as a female only service; though I never found out exactly where the funding was from.
The big ones are:
General bias in family court towards the mother getting physical custody of the kids after a divorce. Fathers can win if the mother is incompetent as a parent or puts them in danger but the tendency is almost always to award it to her even if the father is a better parent. Because of this, she likely to get the house as well ‘for the benefit of the children’ even if she directly caused the divorce.
There are many jobs that males find it hard to pursue even if they want to because of sexual paranoia. These can range from kindergarten teacher to OB nurse.

What about the fact that at least in the US, all males are required to register for the Selective Service when they turn 18, but women are not?
Women get hired for jobs they aren’t qualified for and don’t belong in over more qualified male applicants in the name of “equality”.
Women get something like 2 years of paid vacation for popping out a baby. Men don’t.
For every dollar a man earns, a woman takes 70 cents of it.
Alimony exists.
Alimony and child support. How often do you hear of a man receiving either?
When I was a student and was applying for temp work, all of the men got sent to manual labor jobs and the women to light office work which paid more and was way easier on the body.
There’s a pretty long article on Wikipedia about Men’s rights with numerous examples that may or may not apply to the OP.
Here in Las Vegas women get into nightclubs free while men have to pay a hefty fee just for admission. I am not stupid and know the financial/social reasons why; more women = more men who will go there. Still, it can cost a nice chunk of change to get into those clubs if you are a guy.
The biggest difference is the aforementioned bias in family court that the woman is almost always given preferential treatment, even when it would probably be a better environment for the man to be given custody.
It’s not uncommon at all. While there is still bias in custody, child support and alimony are almost always calculated using a formula involving both parties incomes and the percent of time each has the child. If the woman makes more, the man will get alimony. There isn’t much latitude for the judge here.
I hope this is a joke.
I wish it were too.
That does happen from time to time.
They get some Disability pay but it’s only for a few weeks. FMLA is unpaid.
I don’t understand what you mean here.
Women and men both get alimony.
Your first point is arguable–but almost certainly false, at least to the extent that the opposite is also true.
Your second point is simply false. (I know of women getting several weeks’ leave surrounding childbirth, with time taken before childbirth during a complicated pregnancy reducing the time available after childbirth, but I know of no one who has gotten two years’ paid vaction.)
Your third point is just misogynistic fantasy.
Yet it overwhelmingly and systematically favors women. That’s like saying “hey, poor people only pay 15% tax on their capital gains, just like rich people!”
The prejudice against male OB nurses is particulary bizarre since so many OB&GYNs are men. There’s some petty discrimination in retail as well. My first job was a cashier in a supermarket (10 yrs ago), and even at 16 it annoyed me that female cashiers were never sent into the lot to get carts; even during broad daylight. More recently I worked sales at a big-box home improvement store that was so bad at keeping “lot boys” they’d randomly assign males (& only males) from other departments to work in the lot.
Only in that it’s the man who generally earns more money. The rules are gender neutral and based on a formula. These days alimony is usually for a limited time as well.
At my health club there are all kinds of women’s events and not a single one designed for men. The resources spent on them could be directed toward equipment or benefits that everyone uses.
Do you have a cite to back up this claim.
Alimony is usually awarded to the spouse who has less money. I don’t see how this is biased against men. Unless you think women get awarded more money than men, even when men are the ones who make less money. In that case I would like to see some evidence.
