Normally you would be correct but for a new golfer, advancing the ball is key. Easier to do with a lofted club and less likely to have a terrible shot.

Okay, that makes complete sense and is great advice.

Could you please follow me around the course and say stuff like this as I’m playing? I get terrible amnesia as soon as I get on the first tee. I think it’s something on the grips of my clubs that causes it.

I can always tell you what you did wrong but will never be able to tell you what you did right. As such, I would be utterly useless!
