You are correct, I did get the newts comment from Normal’s post. And I have seen the movie, although it has been quite a while since I last saw it. That wooden rabbit to the head may have knocked a little sense (or should that be nonsense?) into me.
Peeker, I think you misread the rules. Random.org only comes into it if no one at all votes; there wasn’t anything about randomly assigning nonvotes.
Also, has Diggit actually played with peeker before? I’ve lurked a couple games with him, so I kinda knew what to expect in terms of semi-comprehensibility, but I could see how someone would be confused.
Though actually, aside from being all-lowercase, he’s been pretty straightforward & clear.

Even though I voted in jest, it looks like that is where I want my vote to be, for now. The “obvious” post restriction is slightly weird, and early Day 1 that is good enough. Throw in the lack of explanation despite prompting, well, it is easy to see why there is a bandwagon forming.
NETA: and I agree with peeker. Short Days with unknown Gasterd element means lurking is really bad. Also, is this a fair suggestion - if anyone experiences a post restriction and can’t tell us what it is (that is a possibility, isn’t it?), could you please post lots, even fluff, to give us an idea of the restriction. Unless of course the restriction is don’t post lots, in which case listen to the mods before listening to me :).
I can only guess that DiggitCamara is referring to peeker’s lack of capitals, but I fail to see why that would be perceived as a posting restriction rather than a personal style. (I’m following the Conspiracy game on IdleMafia, so I’ve seen peeker’s posts before, admittedly, whereas I don’t know if Diggit has, but still …) But by the same token, I don’t see why that would be worth voting him for; his response about “how would peeker write ‘I wish I’” seems clear enough to me now that I’m properly caffeinated.
I’d really like another option, but no one has done anything that strikes me as remotely scummy.
A near-unanimous bandwagon on Day One is arguably worse for Town than not lynching at all. (Not that I’m suggesting that’s remotely an option, oh great glorious mods.)
All right, this is kind of metagamey, but I guess I should get a vote down. It seems like the first day 1 bandwagon target is almost NEVER the real scum, and I don’t want to vote for someone for being confused by peeker (even though I don’t think the quoted peeker post that led Diggit to conclude he was post-restricted was at all confusing… dude, it’s a GHOSTBUSTERS reference), so I guess I’ll point at one of the bandwagon-jumpers. FS has done a better job of explaining, so I guess I’ll go for BillMC (with FOS on ColdP for now).
