has anyone ever had a dr. tell them one thing and then do another? Ex;
I had surgery on june 15th, and before surgery, I was told the dr. would be implaning a lens for DISTANCE vision…and was VERY adamant the day after surgery when I told him I could read with the operative eye, but could only see things in the distance with a lot of blur.
Then when Iwent back for my two week check, the Dr I saw that day told me the lens implanted WAS for READING correction. SO
I was NOT out of my mind, and could have been spared two weeks of stress and worry thinking I was losing my sight…or losing my mind!!!
When I go back in 2 weeks I will see the surgeon and I will tell him how his incorrect information upset me.
I have DRY EYE and it’s causing a lot of discomfort. ANYONE recommend anything?

My opthalmologist told me to take fish oil capsules for my dry-eye. I think they have helped (and my GP likes me taking them for my cholesterol too, so its a win-win).
The opthalmologist also prescribed me Restasis, but it was not covered by my insurance, which made it ludicrously expensive. Also, some research on the web gave me the impression that it it is not particularly effective: not over a hundred dollars worth effective, anyway. Anyway, teh fish oil plus regular over-the counter eye drops seem to have helped quite a bit.
