Um, Gaia doesn’t use vBulletin though. Or does it? That said, it seems that the there are 55 forums using vBulletin that have more posts than the Straight Dope Message Board, if I understand this chart correctly. The top one, offtopic.com, has 148 million posts. So I guess we’re not that humongous.
Well, but you have to consider the number of vBulletin installations as a whole. And there are thousands. (Although not all of them are, um, legally obtained and thus wouldln’t be listed anyway.) So being in the top 55 or even top 100 is pretty notable.
