I will be going to Nepal and it looks like I will fly through India. The bad news is I have a 10 hour layover at night so it appears I just need a transit visa for India - is that correct? Since the layover is so long I don’t think I am going to spend all that time in the airport , thus the need for a visa so I can find a hotel to stay in.
Also are there hotels close to the airport in Delhi that are not too expensive (say $50 a night) I could fly though other places but the India route is the cheapest by far. I am traveling from the US east coast.
