Indian candy

An Indian co-worker brought some candy to work and shared it. The ingredients of the candy were listed thus:

Imli ka satva: 33 mg
Kala namak 20 mg
Saindhav namak 15 mg
Zeera 8 mg
Sunthi 6 mg
Pippali 4 mg
Kali marich 2 mg
Navsadar 1 mg

I have no idea what any of those things are, but the candy was interesting, kinda sweet and spicy.

I don’t believe you ate Sunthi!!!
Do you know what that is!

I don’t know anything about Indian food, but after a few minutes with a search engine, I will cautiously say:

Imli ka satva - something to do with tamarand?
Kala namak - black salt
Saindhav namak - ?
Zeera - cumin seeds
Sunthi - dried ginger
Pippali - long pepper?
Kali marich - black pepper
Navsadar - ?

Tamarind

And Saindhav namak may be rock salt.

Imli is what you get when you soak tamarind pulp in water.

Navsadar is ammonium chloride (I changed my Google settings to search in all languages, and I found it in Spanish)
