I know that you can’t use charcoal grills indoors because of the carbon monoxide buildup, but shouldn’t you be able to use all electric grills indoor safely? The reason I ask is because I came across this one that claims “for outdoor use only.” Why? Is it due to the potential smoke (which could easily be solved with a window and a box fan)?
I’m a simple apartment dweller looking for the closest experience to that charred fresh-off-the-grill taste and so far the best I’ve come up with is this one (which I’m afraid may not get hot enough).
We have a Jenn-Air grill in our kitchen. It exhausts to the outside, so no smoke. I would think the main danger would be from grease fire and smoke. Before I knew how to properly use the Jenn-Air, I covered up some meat to make it cook faster. BIG mistake, as the grease caught fire. Without proper ventilation, I wouldn’t recommend using any grill indoors.
