A friend of mine was telling me that he read an article where dairy cows with infected nipples were sometimes milked. Supposedly as much as 30% of the “mixture” might be pus in such instances. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? It sounds like a rumor generated by the cola companies, if you ask me.
Well, if that’s true, the pus is pasteurized. And also mixed with the milk of hundreds of other cows, so it would be diluted.
I’ve heard that too, although not that particular figure, but I have no idea how credible the data is.
When a human mother has a breast infection, the “cure” is to nurse right through it.
My uncle owns a dairy farm. They have to milk sick cows - leaving them unmilked would be painful and cruel. But they destroy the milk. It’s not included in the milk that gets sold. This is all controlled by governmental regulation and they’re inspected. A LOT.
