The police can probably show you the “Megan’s Law” information.
You’ll have to go to the station house, sign in, and they will show it to you.
It is exclusive. They don’t just wave it around, you have to sign in.
Anyway, that’s true in California if I am not mistaken. I don’t know how it is where you live.
I’m not sure if sex offender lists are nationwide, so you might have to contact a police department in another state (if that’s where the offense occurred or where the list originated). Your local police department should be able to tell you what information they can and cannot provide for you.
