Specifically, I’m wondering about the female backup on Leonard Cohen’s “Hey, That’s no way to say goodbye”. I used to have the CD, but can’t locate it. Are backup singers always listed in the credits? I can’t seem to find out who this was.
This is the version on “Best of Leonard Cohen”.
What resource, though, can one go to to find info on backup singers, other than the actual album or CD?

The backup singer is almost certainly Nancy Priddy, an interesting artist and person in her own right.
In this case, because “Hey, That’s No Way To Say Goodbye” appeared on Songs of Leonard Cohen, searching for the album title and “backup singer” returned the link above, on the first page of results.
Starting a search with “session musician database” returns results that may be in line with what you want. Perhaps another poster can point you to reliable and specific resources.
