Inglesia Babtista Church I see everyday

I drive by these Latino churches everday that have “Inglesia Baptista” or “Inglesia Nuevo Vida”…

My Spanish isn’t what it used to be, but do they give sermons in English? Or am I just really really stupid?

I would think that if they give sermons in English they would advertise in the same language.

But I am Native American and Irish, waddah I know?

There’s no “N” in that: “Iglesia.” It’s the Spanish word for “church,” from the same Greco-Latin root as “ecclesiastic,” the Greek ekklesia meaning “assembly.”

The first one is Baptist Church and the second is New Life Church and both probably give the sermons in Spanish and I doubt if they give any sermons in English.

BTW I believe that second word in the first example should be ‘bautista’, or Baptist. AT least that’s how it’s shown on such a church near my house.

Thats cool! I am driving by at night everyday and I didn’t get to see it very well.

Now I am that much smarter.

Thanks guys!
