Insane parkour, or 'shopped?

Here.

I dont know but it is blatant product advertisement for an energy drink.

And if it isn’t shopped, those guys are fucking insane!

You can be sure there was some kind of safety system in place. The production insurance for doing that kind of stunt as it appears would be unfathomable.

If it is a commercial, does Pete Seeger know about it?

What, even if they just give them cameras to record it and then edit the results?

I only see a couple of spots where they’re doing any really seriously dangerous stuff that might require safety precautions - I’d bet it’s real, though there might be some post production done to edit out safety lines, etc.

I think that they could probably sign waivers to avoid insurance issues. And I think that it ws professionally shot, not done by the parkour guys themselves.

This video seems to contain some of the same scenes as the advert. You can clearly see safety lines in some spots of the video (albeit, they try to hide them by blurring, or only showing the scene very quickly).

It’s a professionally produced video; you don’t just “give some guys a camera” to get those kinds of results. It is a production, ergo there is a production crew, ergo filming permits and production insurance are a must.

Yes it’s a professionally-produced advertisment for a sports drink. An earlier add in the series had a guy on a jet pack putting a road cone on Auckland’s 300 metre high Sky Tower. (video) Obviously that one was fake. So my guess is this video has been ‘dramatised’ as well in parts.

However, I’m not so sure about the need for expensive insurance. In New Zealand we have the ACC scheme - comprehensive no-fault coverage for all injuries caused by accidents. So the producers might not have bothered with injury insurance at all…

Only in that would take much longer than 30 seconds to make it to the top of the tower and back, 30 seconds being the general time limit for a jet pack of this type (H2O2 decomposition reaction).

Yes, safety lines were used and edited out.
