:smack: Of course. Damn, it’s been too long since I’ve run a *nix box, apparently.
Well, I’ve already forgotten which key does which thing with Insert, but ^X/^C/^V is easy: they’re in a row next to each other, it’s just Cut/Copy/Paste.

I just realized my keyboard at home doesn’t have a stand-alone Insert key. You have to turn Num Lock of, then hit 0.
Yeah alot of internet cafes get ride of the winsdows key.
I’m pretty sure that in windows you can disable keys so u don’t need to remove them.
At work, I’m not a big fan of F11 sometimes. In the computer charting system we use, F12 is “File,” and F11 is “Exit.”
Just about any time I hear a nurse, who had previously been quietly sitting at the computer, yell, “CRAP!” I know their finger didn’t go quiiiite far enough to the right after they spent 15 minutes typing up that patient assessment…
I kike all the Windows key shortcuts, too. Win-L, Win-R, and I don’t think anyone has mentioned Win-D (show desktop). OTOH, I have in my time pried off a Caps Lock key.
Please tell me that word means something else in Outer London and the editors of M-W somehow missed it. The analogy that usage brings to mind is not pretty.
Thank you.
 I like all the Windows key shortcuts. Maybe I should move the K further away from the L though.
Whew! You scared me there, sir.
I don’t get the hatred for the Windows key. Apple has been doing it for a lot longer than Microsoft and I haven’t seen any Mac users in here declaring their hatred for the Apple/Curly Thingie key.
Maybe because, IME, the Apple key is located in such a manner that one is unlikely to hit it by accident.
I waant one of these. Even if it is 44,000 rubles. I type in three languages whose keymappings have been known to declare war on each other.
Well, that’s like $1.50 Canadian, right? So go ahead and buy yourself a truckload!
Well, $1700 Canadian. And it doesn’t ship till Feb '08.
I [del]need[/del] want to get Adobe Design Premium first. Which, oddly enough, is around the same price.
Sublight is MY hero! Thank you thank you! I used to reprogram keystrokes all the time on my Mac, but wasn’t figuring out how to do that when the office switched to XP. Never occurred to me to try a macro. Yay! ::happy dancing::
My HP laptop has a couple of “quickplay” keys that I tend to accidentally press while using the F-keys, which I do quite a bit in Eve-online. The problem with that is that it instantly minimizes everything I’m doing to launch a media-only program, which is hideously annoying to quit out of. I have no idea how to disable this. None of the actual keys really annoy me that much though.
On a related note, though this one was my own fault, I mapped a shortcut in the same game to ctrl-1. Unfortunately, Ctrl-Q is the quit command, and upon trying to use my new shortcut, immediately quit entirely, much to my displeasure.
