I take pdf files and convert to png files for ease of insertion into a MS Word document. It seems MS Word is placing a partial “frame” around my inserted images or other stray marks of this nature. Any clue how to remove?
What version of Word are you using? Any way to convert the pdf into a jpg or bmp instead?
Word 2007 had some issues with png files. As far as I am aware they are fixed in 2010.
You can use paint.net (free) to convert the png files to jpg (or many other formats).
MS Paint can also be used to convert.
What exactly is this “frame” you refer to? What does it look like? How does it behave? Does it happen with other images from other sources? Does it happen with non-png images? Do you understand how text flow around images works and how to control it? Do you understand anchors and image placement on a page? Do you understand how to control the visibility of object border markers & drag handles? Do you understand how Word reacts to images larger in either or both dimensions(s) than the in-margin area of the page?
