You have not yet explained why you don’t think eg. David Icke’s ideas, government mind-ray machines etc. are “conspiracy facts”. Surely believers of these things would think you were treating them like you think we are treating you?
When we come across a new conspiracy, how are we to judge whether it is “fact” or “David Ickeism”? You see, everyone is entitled to interpret evidence their own way. However, if there is a persistent, bloody-minded refusal to really consider the whole picture, then it implies that one has already made up one’s mind and that one is merely grasping at the straws which fit their opinion. I really cannot see how the entire snopes page can simply be waved off as “nonsense”.
My suggestion of a new thread was solely in the interests of not hijacking Henry’s, and so I suggest we ask him. Henry, are you happy for this to become a thread in which mystic asserts that there is compelling evidence that 9/11 was not conspired by Arab terrorists and others debunk this “evidence”?

I do not believe that there is a governmental concpiracy.
But in the most of the cases, take any country, there is a governmental motive somewhere down the line to hush-hush, what was knewn, who made the biggest mistakes etc.
That is normal.
But there are also examples of where one governmental section does not know what the other is doing etc. plus that there are “friendly nations” with their activities that needs to be “a secret from the public, in the intrest of our nation” etc.
The bottomline is = to rule, to have power, is to have information.
I would say that when a conspiracy theory is going on, they rarely if ever, hit the bullseye.
But we have to admit, that many times there has been a lead to the truth. Or it has lead to that something else has come up from the complete darkness.
Reverse this:
Take any scandal “of concpiracy” in any country. Has there been a conspiracy-theory-group? Yes - always.
Have they been right in something? Yes. and as far as I know, always. In something.
Remember that the Net has only worked for a few years in some kind of order. First it was a very anarchistic network.

Because there is all kind of people, like You and me, giving different angles, coming to a solution, or at least, the most sensible one. - After saying this, I have to say, that a very big %age of The Media, believes in what the government says, any government, as long as it is “my government”.
After saying this, I can only come to the conclusion, that the press (the lemmings or parrots) are either “streamlined” or lazy.
And their thinking is totally dependeble on wher their mother and father has been fucking = mostly in the same country in where this Gigant of Thoughts, The Great Parrot, has been born.
They just print what has been said! That is objectively the truth: “He said…” And it is true. He was there. He said this and that => let’s print it => the truth is born! hallelujah!
The guy who says something, knows that.

- There will be some questions after that he has said. The reporters have a few seconds to think what to ask etc.
After first question the reporter listens to the answer, he is not given time to go through everything that is said, etc.
The reporter writes what has been said.
He can’t write: “On my way home, I came to think about…”
If the reporters would work together, putting questions, let’s say 20 questions beforehand, on paper, and everyone has the lead by her own in mind, the most significant questions would be asked.
Now they give the opportunity to ask question, to maybe 4 -5 reporters, the speaking guy knowing very well most of the reporters, picking here and there.
If the room has let’s say 50 reporters, it means that a handpicked 10% had the big oppurtunity to ask something (of a very well trained dog, that can answer anything, or just tell a joke about it and show, “next please”).
So these 50 persons goes and writes down what has been said.
I have personally seen it working. I was amazed.
(Look at the next Hollywood film, in this they are quite truthful => lemmings goes on like chickens. And lose the news, but writes something).
But then, even if one guy “get’s ideas”, it goes its own way before the original story is printed, through the editor anyhow, shortened, "streamlined’ etc.
It depends on the relation between the reporter and editor and only God knows what.
But the fact that “The Three-Letter-Guys” are trying to “stream-line” as much as possible, is a fact!
It is also a fact that the work inside different media.
It is also a fact that they own different firms.
It is also a fact that they have money, lots of money. In any country.
If the government does not give these guys money, the government should be tried for treason! In any country!
It is also a fact that freepers are idiots!
