Inspiring Olympic Moments

We’ve had a thread on pittings. This one is for inspiring moments.

Mine is the Dutch 1500m sprinter Hassan. Knocked over on the last lap, she ran from twelfth place to finish first and win the heat. Wow.

I happened to see the female weightlifter from the Philippines win that country’s first gold medal ever, in any event. She was understandably excited, and it was cool to see:

Sweden vs. Bahrain, 2021 men’s handball group play.

Sweden led by 1 after regulation, but Bahrain earned a 7-meter shot at the end. Sweden’s team captain substituted himself in as the goalkeeper, and blocked Bahrain’s last-second attempt to force the tie. That’s what I call putting the team on your back.

Moving this to the game room, as it’s about sports.
