You may have already heard of this but I just watched a very good documentary last night called “Spent : Looking For Change” . It is about how those living from paycheck to paycheck survive by other means such as check cashing places and bank overdrafts… That is until the banks figure out they can’t make any more more money off them. Thankfully I have never had to as of yet…but it is eye opening…one lady had over 100,000 in her 401K before she got caught up in this.
I have friends and family that have done this, including pawn shops,and it is startling how close a person can be to landing in this situation without ever thinking they could. I recommend it because many of them had medical situations that got them there plus they do bring up possible solutions. Worth a watch.
It is sad but still knowledge is power… I would like to see the day when this crap stops!
