Internet censorship in Canada?

(Couldn’t find a thread to post this in, so I might as well make it its own thread.)
Bell Canada basically wants to pick and choose what Canadians see on the internet.

They’ve shat this dumb entity called “Fair Play” - a consortium of 30 media organizations - who are filing a proposal to the CRTC (Canadian Radio-Television and Communications) to fight “online piracy”, which is almost as much a freaking nothing-burger as voter fraud.

Good HuffPo cite choc-a-bloc with great links!

Eh!
Canadians! [Sign this!](: //act.openmedia.org/DontCensor) link broken

The comment period for the FairPlay Coalition application has been extended to March 29, 2018.

We don’t allow calls for action on the board. Prior permission must be asked for before promoting a cause. It’s rare if ever that permission will be granted for a request to sign a petition.

I have closed the thread and I broke the link to the petition. If you want to start a discussion thread about the subject without a call to action I have no objection. Don’t repost the petition.
