Anyone out there use any internet conferencing software? The good, the bad and the ugly about whatever program. Does anyone use Interwise and what do you think about it?

I would probably use the conference software that comes/made with/for. with my browser. That way I know its compatible. For video cams, I use truetech.com
Was on the selection committe for distance learning software a couple years ago. Interwise was a finalist but we chose Centra for our purposes. Don’t remember the Interwise details, but we wanted VOIP and as close to a virtual classroom as we could get. Have seen and used Placeware, but haven’t seen much sign of Interwise. My only real advice is to make sure they understand their position in the marketplace and offer a compensation package that is appropriate for the level time and effort to successfully complete the sales cycle.
I’m particularly fond of WebEx. We use it a lot; it’s a great sales accelerator.
Bear in mind you may be trying to sell to companies who already have Microsoft NetMeeting. It’s certainly standard issue at my place, although I don’t know if it’s a core part of Windows 2000 or an extra we bought.

OldBroad, how long did it take for your company to make a decision? I’ve got experience with ERP software, so I understand the time it takes for the sales cycle. That said, China should be faster owing to less competition and it’s a new market here.
Interwise has another advantage in China because most people have access through dial up internet connection.
