In three hours I interview for a job at a local brewery with national distribution. I won’t be making beer, just giving tours and working in the factory store, giving samples, and stuff like that. It won’t pay well, but from what I understand, the free beer benefits are pretty good.
Sadly, I don’t know if I’ll be able to pay rent with the job. We’ll see what the pay is when I interview today. Also, it’s not full time. But, regardless, it’d be a damned cool job.
So, wish me luck. Fortunately, I don’t need to know my ales from my stouts to get the job.
Much luck!! And if you do get it I’m sure there will be ample opportunity to learn your lagers from your ales. On the Job training just doesn’t get much better than that I think.
Didn’t get it. I think that they divined quite correctly that I really am looking for something more than the part-time position they were offering. Oh well. If I had gotten it I would still need to find another job anyway, so it’s probably for the best.
That’s possible… there are one or two others in the immediate area. Though, for me any job is what’s really important. It’s a tough market right now, and rent doesn’t stop just because I don’t have a source of income. Argh!!!
