I don’t watch soaps, but I do enjoy reading the weekly “Here’s what’s happening on your favorite soaps” column in the newspaper. Usually it’s rather dull, along the lines of, “Marah and Blake share a tender moment. Craig learned who is responsible for Bryant’s troubles. Morgan gets distressing news.”
But every so often there’s something that’s just so intriguing that it makes me kinda wish I’d been watching.
“Laura confronted Greenlee, who denied pushing her overboard.”
“Leslie forged a letter from Tad about his undying love for her. She then staged an intimate moment with Tad for Jake to witness, and stole Tad’s credit card, using it to buy a necklace…Tad takes action to get rid of Leslie.” Sheesh, no wonder.
“Deacon was impressed with Amber’s grit in breaking his door down with a hatchet…”
“After Lindsay was told that Bo plans to propose to Melanie, she faced off against him, but they wound up being locked in together at the police station, thanks to a blackout caused by Todd.”
“Chris hoped to become pregnant while in Hong Kong and was stunned when Paul declared that he’s not willing to go.” Or to, ahem, come?
This one is my favorite: “Upping the revenge stakes, Mimi and Jan installed a video camera in the girls’ locker room, where they planned to tape Chloe and expose her on the Internet.” Pun unintended?
