Introducing the Down family

Firstly, there’s Bob Down. He’s a short fellow. He lives on a farm, with his wife Mona Down. She’s never been quite the same since the unfortunate incident with the combine harvester. Of course there’s Son Down he’s healthy, wealthy and wise. Then there’s Liza Down - she’s got a bit of a reputation in these parts…

Great aunt Ida Down lives in town. She’s a warm, cuddly type. Very comforting to be around.

Mark Down owns the local retail discount store. Does a roaring trade by all accounts.

So does anyone else out there know any members of the down family?

Say, you forgot Liza Down’s brother, Ben Down.

In fact, here is a picture of Bob. He is also a parody, one joke comedian in Australia.

There is also the noble Count Down, pioneer of the short lived Australian space programme. Pat Down, the customs official and Ho Down, the square dance caller from the Vietnamese branch of the family.

uh…i’m confused.

is this a real bunch of people we’re talking about or is this a joke with you aussies?

If you took the time to learn some history of people other than your own, you would realise the Dynasty Down are held in great esteem and reverence here in Australia (and Taiwan) as they indeed should be in your own country. We don’t joke about them and I’ll ask you not to either.

What about Mo Down? He’s a machine-gunner in the army.

I hear Cohen Down is very popular with the ladies.

Kalmen Down is doing much better since he’s been on medication.

And the hippie couple Khama-khama and Doobie-Dew are still having a hard time with their breaking-up.

I heard Sid Down is a lazy bastard.

My sister dated Ty Down but left him because he was too clingy. Frankly, they all seem a bit retarded.

There, is, of course, the German branch of the family too. Hans Down reportedly wins everything by a large margin.

How could I possibly forget!

Father Neil Down is aunt Ida’s cousin. He’s a priest!

Their cousin, **Rob Down **, has been making a decent living as a massage therapist.

Mo isn’t the only one in the army. There’s also his cousin, Manny Down, a field medic.

Luke Down tends to shun the rest of the family. He thinks he’s too good for them.

there’s the black sheep of the family, Porter Down who’s an Irish revolutionary

also cousin Stan Down who’s a pommie shop steward.
