INVERSION TABLES

has anyone tried or owned one? will it help my back? typical 9 - 5 deskjob.

thanks

Are you talking about inversion boots maybe? I’ve never heard of an inversion table, but it wouldn’t surprize me to turn on the tube and see some hasbeen celebrity endorsing one in an hour-long infomercial.

I have recently (well, seven months ago) moved into a desk job and have discovered two things.

  1. The urge to snack is irresistable, compounding the already ugly battle of the bulge.

  2. My neck & back had lodged formal complaints against my policy on posture. I found this cleared up when I forced myself to sit upright with a tight curvature of the spine forward. By no means should you slouch back or allow your backbone to bend outward (resulting in a forward shoulder-slouch). I was also helped with the use of my special praying mantis style ergo chair which I talked about in this thread.

Since then, sitting upright with correct posture has become 2nd nature and the pain has subsided. I hope this helps.
