iPhone: blocking only specific sites

I have no need or desire to block all adult content in my iPhone. I just want to block specific sites. Is there any way to do that? Turning on parental restrictions blocks too much.

This app claims compatibility up through iOS 10, at least.

Settings > General > Restrictions > (Enable Restrictions if they aren’t enabled already) Allowed Content > Websites > Limit Adult Content > Never Allow > Add a Website

That’s exactly what I said blocks too much content.

Adding a single web site blocks too much content?

OK.

The option “limit adult content” limits adult content. The “add a website” is just to add a website that might have slipped through the “limit adult content” filter. So, no, it doesn’t solve the OP’s problem.

So he taps the “Allow Website” button in Safari, that site gets automatically added to the Always Allow list and he gets his adult content unencumbered.

But then he has to manually allow every site he wants allowed. I believe his problem is along the lines of “allow all web sites, except these.”

ETA: oh, I think I see what you mean. You mean he goes to the website, and then when he gets the content restricted message, he hits allow, types his code, and then the website gets added to the whitelist.

Right, the “Allow Website” whitelist makes it a one-time minor inconvenience, but it’s effectively the answer.

It still censors Google Search results, even after you have “allowed” it.

I’ve acquired an app called “Zero Willpower.” It seems satisfactory thus far. By default, it blocks Safari from accessing Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, 9gag, Twitch.TV, and VK.com, and you can add to it or subtract. It doesn’t block apps, though. It doesn’t work on older iPhones.
