iPhone internet issue

I will preface by saying that I am not a tech noob. iOS is updated and I have cleared history from Safari. Also tried searching online and could not find reports of like issues, but admit I was not able to do much research due to the problem.

Problem is that whenever I use Safari, every webpage shows up as a black screen. Same problem when using private browsing. I went ahead and downloaded firefox app and same problem exists on that app. None of my settings have changed from before the problem started. I know the pages are loading, because if I click on the black screen, sometimes it will register that I tapped a link and navigate to the new page, but still displays a black screen. Tried force quits on both Firefox and safari. Also, I’ve noticed that in some apps where there would normally be an add, a black box is shown where the add would normally display.

Again, what little research I could do turned up nothing, so I am now at the mercy of you all.

I’ve had a similar issue with my iPad. Periodically when I launch a new webpage, all I get a white (blank) screen. I’ve found quitting and relaunching works, (double-click the home button, then flick the app window upward). Fortunately this is only a periodic nuisance for me.

My suggestion is to call Apple support, even if your phone / iPad is no longer covered. I’ve had issues after updating to a new OS and they were very helpful even though I’m 2 years out of the coverage period.

Also, (if you haven’t already) post your problem on the discussion boards at Apple. I’ve found the people there to be very helpful: Official Apple Support Community

Good luck.

I realize this was bumped, but if you’re still having the problem, you should try restarting/rebooting the phone and possibly uninstalling some apps. I don’t know iThings, but what you describe sounds like an issue with low memory.
