iPod Touch problem

My iPod Touch is either a G3 or G4 (I bought it in Korea last April and all the documentation is in a language I can’t read). Within the last two months, I upgraded the software, and now it is in permanent shuffle mode. I can control the album or artist or playlist, but not the order in which songs within those parameters play.

I tried to restore the original settings, but that just means “Mac” as far as the device is concerned. The screen graphics have a grey-with-raindrops background instead of a flat black one. How can I kill the Shuffle function on this?

When you’re playing a song, tap on the screen so the options pop up. You should see a progress bar, a repeat button (looks like two arrows making a circle), the Genius button, and the shuffle button. Press the shuffle button.

Here you can get the documentation for your ipod.

Thanks!

I just thought I’d add that it’s not a 4G iPod Touch, because those were only released at the beginning of September (2010). Until then, both the 2G and 3G iPod Touch were still being manufactured and sold by Apple. The 8 GB model was a 2G iPod, while the 32 and 64 GB models were 3G models.

Well then, this is certainly a 3G.
