Is Ashton Kutcher a felon?

According to WIKI:

During his senior year, he broke into the high school at night with his cousin in an attempt to steal money; he was caught leaving the scene. Kutcher was convicted of third-degree burglary and sentenced to three years’ probation and 180 hours of community service. *

Burglary is usually a felony, and most offenses that get 3 years probation are felonies. So might we assume he is a felon?

Or does Iowa have a form of burglary that isn’t a felony?
Or was he charged as a juvi and the records are now stricken?

The reason I ask is, I’ve seen several articles about him owning and carrying firearms.

Maybe it was a first offense and by keeping his nose clean during probation the conviction was removed from his record?

Possibly. But I can’t find anything about it on the web.

He could have been under 18 at the time.

From the Op:

I’m thinking that’s a high possibility.

I know nothing of the law then or now, but this link shows a recent case at the University of Iowa of third degree burglary and asserts that as a first offense it is a misdemeanor.

This could be the answer, then. I guess certain forms of burglary in Iowa aren’t felonies.
