Is Bill O'reilly an alcoholic?

Having dealt with alcoholism both personally and thru family and friends I have noticed that Bill sounds and acts like someone who either has the problem, had the problem or grew up in a family that had the problem.

I was wondering if anyone has any factual data/proof etc. on Bill’ status as a drunk, recovering drunk that is in state of “dry drunk”.

Just so I’m clear… there are behavioral attributes you can discern through the way someone acts on TV that identify someone as a current alcoholic, past alcoholic, or the product of an alcoholic environment.

Wow… those are some mad analytical skillz you have!

Oh God, please…stop sending the wackos and assholes to our side of the street…

There’s how people act, and then there are actors. Ever see BO’s tantrum towards the teleprompter guy? Youtube it, maybe 10 years old or so. The guys has issues, alcoholic or not.

So he lost his patience once, that we know of, in a ten year period.
Uh-huh. By that standard, if O’Reilly’s an alcoholic, I’ve already died of cirrhosis.

Ok, why can’t we just start with, “what is that you notice that makes you think he’s an alcoholic.”

Bush was an alcoholic, and I’m guessing that was the source of his inability to speak. O’Reilly doesn’t seem to suffer from that.

Being very moody isn’t necessarily a symptom of alcoholism.

“Inability to speak?” The guy is not a talented orator, but he’s hardly a mute.

One can be an high functioning addict. Meaning, what one person suffers as a result their addiction, doesn’t necessarily mean the same will happen to the next person, or if it does, a HFA can hide their issues very well.

Like a lot of guys in media, he thinks he is God. The same is true for Stern, Limbaugh, Hannity, and many others.

If you want to get drunk quickly, take a drink every time he says “far left” And remember he’s not biased!

She wasn’t insulting the poster. She was bemoaning the poster wanting to send Bill O’Reilly to the alcoholics’ side of the street.

At least, that’s how I read it.

Moderator Warning

I gave specific instructions a few posts up to avoid commenting on your personal opinions on O’Reilly. This serves no useful purpose in this thread.

If I have misunderstood EJsGirl’s post, she can e-mail me. But even at that it was inappropriate for GQ.

That’s no excuse. They should act mortal, like the rest of us!

Nevermind. Wrong forum.
