JohnT, what the Hell is that video? Back when we decided against images and embedded videos and the like, posts like that were part of the reason why. If you have thoughts, share them. Don’t just throw up random unrelated videos.

I have always thought that song should have been made into a movie and Brandy would be stunningly beautiful. A ten stuck in a harbor town that she was too good for. Everyone would think the sailor was a complete dumbass for choosing the sea over Brandy. By the way, every woman named Brandy that I have ever met has been beautiful!

I lived in a small harbor town, I didn’t tend bar, but my sailor married me. For 21+ years the kids and I spent more time without him than with him, as he chased the fisheries. When the sea is in their blood, there is no keeping them on land. Some are faithful, most are not. I’m sure it didn’t originate where I lived but it was the local rule for most, “You don’t lose your spouse, you just lose your turn.”
